Teething is Not for the Faint of Heart
Our little Eliana is blissfully 4 months old. Her smile literally lights up the room and her laugh tumbles out of her mouth like streams of joy. However, her "I'm upset with everything and everyone" cry is intense and can go from zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds when you least expect it. When she is in pain, it's heartbreaking. What parent doesn't hate seeing their kiddos in pain?
Now that teething has begun, the poor little girl is a miserable mess. I personally don't find baby ora-gel helpful, it gunks up, it tastes weird, you can only use it once every so many hours and it just doesn't seem to help much. We did resort to dye free Baby Tylenol with Grayson for teething becuase everytime he cut a tooth, he broke out into a fever. Sadly, we didn't have Copaiba for him back then, but this momma thankfully has found a few natural solutions to help ease Eliana. Just a small disclaimer, I'm NOT against medicine, doctors, etc. I just prefer trying the natural solutions first.
doTERRA's COPAIBA oil is the staple oil for teething in our home and I would never use any other company's. We simply rub 1 or 2 drops of the oil neat on her gums directly, then follow it with a pacifier. It works almost immediately, no joke. It's like a miracle in a bottle and helps give our baby girl the relief she needs. We also don't need to administer it as often, once or twice a day and we can alternate it with other teething friendly oils if she is really miserable. I will pull out the Lavender touch roller for her if she seems further irritated and I rub it along her jaw line. It's already diluted with FCO straight from doTERRA and is awesome for the kids.
